Fantastic 3 day research team building retreat of Yves Van de Peer & Bioinformatics and Evolutionary Genomics (BEG) Lab in France. Mornings: Trainees gave interesting & amazing research talks. Afternoons: beach trip, boat ride & duckweed collection, spectacular aquarium. Great start to my 3 month sabbatical visit!

At her public defence, Xiao presented her project on seagrass genomes & answered questions from the jury & me. Reception & dinner to celebrate Dr. Ma!
