A different kind of exciting news: After years of waiting, the 20 year old Beacon track surface has been scraped into neat little piles! The new track process just got real!

School Record Alert! Beacon sophomore Jayden Mihalchik takes down Mark Guzman’s 2019 Frosh/Soph Javelin mark of 131’ 8” with a toss over 132’ today at John Jay East Fishkill.

Packed a ton of items to prepare for today’s NYS T+F Championship. Unfortunately, an ark was not among those items. Kudos to all the athletes that stepped up in these conditions!!

All set for today’s NYS Triple Jump Championship starting at 1:30. Top 8 jumpers in the state get four jumps each for all the marbles!

Two days of Triple Jumping, two trips to the podium! Damani finishes his HS career medaling in 3 straight State Championships. (Outdoor 2023/Indoor 2024/Outdoor 2024). Excellent consistency and a Beacon Hall of Fame worthy career!

Sophomore Travis Dickston leading the way for Beacon in the JV race

Not only is Beacon XC getting started today, but the alumni are as well. This is Henry Reinke (Williams) running into Bella Migliore (Wesleyan)!

Lily Murr led the JV girls with a 9th place finish, earning a medal. She was followed in by Cecilia Allee in 10th place, and Selena Perez-Sample in 22nd.

Last race of the day was JV boys. Our team finished 7th out of 12. Freshman Caellum Tripaldi won the race, earning him a homemade apple pie 🥧. Sophomore Travis Dickston finished 8th, and Theo Concepcion came in 40th place.

Yesterday the XC team travelled to Minisink for a 5K. In her first 5K, Elise Moran led the girls team with a 6th place finish. Caellum Tripaldi finished first for the Beacon boys and was 4th place overall.
