We've now reopened the closed sections of the Tame Valley and Rushall Canals, and the lock flights at Perry Bar, Rushall and Ryders Green. The Walsall Canal remains closed to navigation north of the junction at Ocker Hill and to the junction with the Wyrley and Essington Canal.

We’ve heard that today’s #TiptonCanalFestival has been cancelled because of concerns about the weather and safety around the site. Hugely disappointing for Kev Maslin and the organisers, but totally understandable. Same time next year then?
