Garden mums are one of the most spectacular blooming plants for fall. They come in a large assortment and may be planted from spring- fall.

Fall is a great time to plant pansies. If well established in the fall, pansies will provide fall color and be ready to bloom in the spring.

Most annuals thrive in summer's heat and will keep blooming right into early fall. With planning your garden will look terrific for 5-6 mos.

Late August and early September is the best time for core aerating, seeding, and applying a starter fertilizer to your new seed.

Collect leaves and use them for mulch. Use ground leaves for mulch around trees and shrubs, in flower beds, & to protect sensitive plants

More roots are developed on plants during the fall than any other time. By planting in the fall, you're giving those plants a head start.

Fall is the best time to spray weeds in the lawn. Using weed killer in the fall works best: weeds take ingest and store it in their roots.

Keep planting trees and shrubs. As long as the soil is workable and the weather is good, you can plant all through the rest of the year.

Keep those leaves from accumulating on the lawn, especially newly seeded lawns. Grass clippings & finely ground leaves compost!

If your trees are newly planted, use a root stimulant such as Bonide's Plant Starter.Mix with water and pour around the base of the tree.

Keep mowing the lawn on a regular basis until the lawn has stopped growing.When it has stopped growing feed with a high N fertilizer.
