20 year 7s and 8s attended STEMFEST on Thursday. They got to talk to a wide range of companies from across Yorkshire and the Humber about careers in STEM. They built cars, radios, fixed laptops, milked cows, tested beauty products, used 3D printers and controlled robotics !

Year 10 students have taken part in numerous careers activities during the last week. Things kicked off last Friday with Bradford college and continued throughout the week with construction-related visits and VWEX (courtesy of the NHS, BBC and Get Into Teaching).

The annual BBEC Pride event was a huge success today! The theme was 'Rainbow' and all enjoyed a fantastic afternoon.

The BBEC Sports Day took place on Friday 5th July, with the winners of each event going on to compete in the BDAT Sports Day (16th and 17th July). A HUGE well done to all competitors who took part and GOOD LUCK to our BBEC sports stars! #ambition #resilience #sportsday

On Tuesday 16th July, the BBEC Music department welcomed Philip Henderson, a local composer to lead a composing workshop with our Year 10 students and to discuss his life and career as a composer. Students thoroughly enjoyed the session! #interactivecurriculum #ambition

70 year 8 students ventured North to PGL at Newby Wiske Hall for a 3 day jam-packed adventure. Students supported and encouraged each other from high towers, built resilience during stand up Paddleboarding and overcame fears on the Giant Swing! #resilience #teamwork

Year 10 students enjoyed their end-of-year Disco this afternoon, as a reward for their attendance to school and postive praise points collected this term! MC Mullaney brought the tunes and Mr A.Taylor certainly brought the moves! Year 7 and 8 Discos take place tomorrow! #rewards
