( Putting his hand on Eddie’s head, looking down at him fondly. ) You’re an idiot, Eddie Munson. ( And going to get him a glass of water. )

( Did he hear that correctly…? His face is burning up anyway, fighting off a smile as he fills up a glass and then places it in front of Eddie on the table. ) What was that, Eds?

Nothing. Thought you said something. Please drink some of that? ( he’s gonna tell himself that is exactly what Eddie said because it’s making him giggle — internally. )

Shuffling up against him, arm thrown around his stomach, head against his chest. “‘m just tired. Don’t go anywhere.”

( Dramatically rolling his eyes, picking up the glass and Eddie’s limp hand, trying to get him to hold it. ) Are you gonna hurl? ‘Cause if you do, you gotta hand over your entire life savings.

“You’re too nice to me,” he mumbles with his eyes closed, almost nonsensically, tiny furrow on his brow. “Why are you so damn nice.” It’s supposed to be a compliment even if it doesn’t sound that way.

( Leaning forwards with his hands resting on the arms of the chair either side of Eddie, raising his eyebrows at him. Like it’s some sort of police interrogation. ) Are you sure. You’ve also gotta give me fair warning so I can grab a bucket.

( Eyes go round, colour growing in his own cheeks. Eddie smells like whiskey but he doesn’t even care. ) ‘Cause you’re always getting yourself into trouble.

I just step on ‘em.

( Moment over, Steve killed it. Not that he would have made ANY sort of move on Eddie; and he’d be too nervous to do it even if the other man wasn’t pretty drunk. Get your shit together, Harrington. He stands back up, frowning. ) I’m sorry, man. Didn’t mean to be an ass.
