Last week, I shadowed Huda Mohamed MBE who is a Female Genital Mutilation specialist lead midwife Whittington Health NHS Trust. Huda has supported more than 100 women and was awarded an MBE for services to midwifery – so well deserved. Thank you Huda for the important work you do.

1/,Thanks to all my Twitter buddies for kind well wishes over the last fortnight. Following doggie 🐶 hospital admission Meg ( megatron) has subsequently suffered a GI 🩸 bleed following her acute pancreatic care.. she is now home 🏠 but feeling a bit discombobulated 😕

3/ In Primary Care.. New nurses can find this daunting & overwhelming. Supporting & mentoring our colleagues & students to a develop critical thinking ability at the outset can support an understanding of how judgements & decisions are made/ reached in complex environments.

2/ Research indicates that Nurses with good clinical reasoning skills have a positive impact on patient/carer outcomes. The speed & ability by which nurses make sound clinical judgement is affected by experience.
