1/4 Today in UK House of Commons Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office questions, I asked Minister Leo Docherty what steps his department is taking to support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of #Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 within their internationally recognised borders.

A historic day for the UK.  This is the first #Coronation since Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was crowned in June 1953. She devoted 70 years to loyal service as the longest reigning monarch in British history. I am watching it with the rest of the world.

UK is interested in further contributing to the reconstruction programme of Azerbaijan in the recovered territories. @Baroness_Nicholson had fruitful meeting with Head of Presidential Administration, Samir Nuriyev to discuss current opportunities.

Returning to Aghdam means seeing the terrible devastation left behind by Armenia's occupation. Yet, Aghdam also demonstrates the determination of the government and the people of Azerbaijan to rebuild and revive these once-prosperous lands.

Both the Russian peacekeepers & the separatists now acknowledged the illegal presence of Armenia's military on Azerbaijani soil & agreed to its withdrawal. We could have peace much sooner & many lives could have been saved had Armenia fulfilled the commitments it has made.
