All I saw on here this afternoon was how happy Duke fans were that Roger didn’t have their game tonight. I remind you, Duke was 8-0 with Roger this season, including 8-0 ATS, and won by 20 PPG. 😉

Love or hate Duke, that Flagg over the back call was pretty terrible

Not just Roger, all officials are in this boat. The “we must check everything on the monitor and not trust our eyes” needs to change.

Disagree totally with this take. Then you are relying on the replay operator, some are faster than others. And they are employed by the home school — so now you introduce the possibility of shady behavior. Just need a coaches challenge system, it’s very simple.

The goaltend miss last night was bad, agree there. Not sure I agree that college basketball officiating is in as bad of a state as you’re making it out to be.

How cool is this for Scheyer to talk to Duke students that (I assume) greeted the bus returning to campus on Sunday. Classy stuff here.

Once the college hoops season comes around 6 months from now, it will be great as usual. But the offseason nonsense is absolutely ridiculous and needs to be figured out.

Ed Malloy feels like the Roger Ayers of the NBA. Every time you flip on a NBA game, it seems like Malloy is one of the officials.

I’ve enjoyed a summer hiatus from here and we still have some time to go before hoops season ramps up. That being said, a manager ejection like this one tonight gets me excited. Soon enough, Roger will be T-ing up coaches and all will be right.

This podcast with Roger was a great listen! Roger has some amazing stories — love the Coach Knight and Coach K stories! Roger also has some quick and hilarious one liners. This was my favorite: “If they told me I had to wear a hat and referee basketball, I’d retire tomorrow.”
