Lastly; As a young Ugandan striving for positive change—be it improved infrastructure, healthcare, education, or a shift to renewable energy—it's vital to empower ourselves with knowledge and back projects offering solutions for a brighter future.

The Tilenga project has implemented livelihood restoration programs for eligible households.

From agriculture to financial literacy and vocational training,these initiatives have empowered affected individuals,easing economic displacement and enhancing livelihoods. PAU_Uganda

The project follows IFC PS 5 rules, offering cash or in-kind compensation.

Those affected get new homes with 2-4 bedrooms, a kitchen, VIP latrine, bathroom, and rainwater tank. Each house has solar panels, batteries, and power systems for sustainable living. PAU_Uganda

Land acquisition for the Tilenga project adhered to legal frameworks, including the Constitution, Land Act, Land Acquisition Act, Petroleum Act, and Resettlement Framework. Compensation ensured fair treatment of all affected parties

Late last month, I participated in a session organised by Chevening Alumni Uganda to address challenges concerning waste management in the fight against climate change. The project goes along way into addressing ABCs in waste management which we learnt about through the intriguing panel

Not to forget the meet and greet session, it was extremely intriguing to interact with students from The Mentorship Class. Being mentored by Denise Ayebare, a former mentee and mentor is nothing short of a rich experience

For an ever outstanding organisation, Debate Institute Africa has continuously shaped the face of debate with a vision beyond arguments in a debate room. Stepping into public speech, there’s an embodiment of dreams and goals in the students, an ooze of passion meticulously nurtured.
