Anyone else totally perplexed by One Day? Seven episodes in and I see no sign that these two people like each other at all. They just meet up once a year to growl at each other.

How does anyone struggle with this? The massive adult quadruped lying on my rug chewing on a cast-off deer antler is very clearly not a substitute for a human child. If I’d wanted a child substitute, this is really not the way I’d have gone.
