Today Senator Tim Scott refused, SIX TIMES, to say if he would peacefully accept the results of the 2020 election. This is where Trumpism has gotten us: even those who have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution can't be trusted to do so if it goes against Trump's wishes.

I think the one right wing talking point I get most exasperated with is: 'We're a Republic, not a democracy!'
We are a constitutional republic with elected leaders.
The colloquial term for free countries with elected leaders is 'democracies.'
It has been for over a hundred years!

I decided to forego selling books at the county fair tomorrow. I sold 26 books in five days, plus 14 at my bookstore signing last Sunday. Forty sales in a week is enough to earn me a day of rest!

Off to the fair to try and sell a few more books today . . . hopefully the rain will hold off!

Signing books this week at the Hunt County Fair! Always fun to watch the people come and go, making new friends and catching up with old ones, and selling a few books in the process.

Well, it was a very long weekend, but my kids competed well at Texas History Day, and this afternoon I sold fourteen copies of my books in Round Rock! Now off to bed, then back to work tomorrow where I can get some rest!
