Just re-wrote a chapter where I killed one of my characters.

When I wrote the first draft, I blubbered like a baby.

This time, I was a bit sad but 🤷‍♀️.

It's true, your first kill is the hardest...😂

Is there one person who you can say inspired you to write?

I think my primary school teacher inspired my love of fantasy by reading us The Hobbit.

My high school English teacher inspired my love of literature - even though I hated English at school 🤷‍♀️.

Trying to persuade my family it's worth my time to write.

It's back - the burning ache in my gut, the throbbing pulse that keeps me on edge.

I thought it had gone away.

Apparently not. I'm not even sure why it's back.

Anxiety.

It's plagued me for years...

Worst: working in a factory where I just packed stuff all day. Boring as hell. Far worse than cleaning in an old people's home. Scrubbing poo off sinks is strangely satisfying.

In the next chapter I need to rewrite, Garrad, father of Garrad, dies!

This will make sense if you've read The General's Son.

Regardless, you should know when I drafted the original I ended up blubbering like a baby.

I suppose I should get the tissues ready...

Does anyone else struggle to get more than half an hour without interruptions when working on your writing?

Even when the kids are in bed, the husband takes over with questions, issues and bringing me wine!
