The pope is not a perfect man but I do love when he pisses off conservative Catholics and proceeds to give zero shits about it.

Personally, I found the pacing of Season 1 to be largely fine, whereas this season I feel like we're speedrunning through the best storylines. I like a lot what we've seen, Episode 5 was a highlight, but I'm left wanting more of these stories. It's a shame we don't see - -

‘An early plan to give private investors access to parts of Victoria’s births, deaths and marriages registry has been abandoned by the state government after backlash from a key union and grassroots Labor members.’ Good. This would have been disastrous. theage.com.au/politics/victo…

Teaching the same lesson to 30 students with different needs would be similar to a doctor trying to help 30 patients with different needs at the same time with the same treatment. We need more adults, and we need more planning time to do what is needed in classrooms.

One of my favorite TV activities was going to the AV Club and similar sites the next day to read the episodic reviews/recaps and the comments. All those folks got fired and almost no sites do episodic reviews for anything not a hugely popular show anymore.

As someone who works in the tech field, if you’re not profoundly disturbed by this pager story, you should be. The implications are massive.

At least 9 people are dead and 2,750 are wounded following the detonation of hundreds of pagers in #Lebanon on September 17th. Lebanese government officials and #Hezbollah have blamed the Israeli military for the attack, while #Israel has not commented on the incident.

Modern 'war' - from drones dripping liquid metal, to mass exploding a small everyday object - seems absolutely horrific to me. Utterly indiscriminate, no way to avoid civilian casualties, and yet somehow celebrated for it's ingenious brutality.

My X feed is shit for breaking news now but there's been a major strike in Lebanon where people's pagers ie personal devices, started exploding Like, fucking terrifying Imagine if this could work on a mobile phone The lost ethics & absence of morality are unbelievable

Detonating bombs via pagers in supermarkets, offices and homes is “humbling” and not terrorism according to this ABC headline. An 8yo girl was one of several killed. Thousands injured. I am sure lots of people in Lebanon are feeling humble at the moment.

We were back to the GP today and were blessed with a short queue & a parking spot. Both kids need antibiotics so I dropped them home then went back out for the chemist & now I have to make them lunch & it is midday already?!
