If you work in a corporate job, one of the easiest ways to ensure more success is to:

1. Work in a revenue generating role (e.g. sales)

2. Work in an industry growing >7% per year

3. Working in a firm growing revenues > 10% a year

Most people working in 9-5 jobs in a large corporate probably work for 3-4 hours, but I would guess 1 hour or so of the output actually would drive business value.

YOU need to go find a place that values more of that 1 hour of output and doesn't waste those 7 other hours.

Diversificaiton is just admitting that you don't have an edge in investing. You're hedging for the fact you don't have an angle.

You should focus your investing on where you have an angle, then back the truck up.

In June 2021, I bought a $1.1m industrial property.

The net yield was 7.4% and my cost of debt was 2.7%. The spread was 4.7% positive.

Once you’re about 3 years into full time work, you should realise a corporate salary is not going to cut it anymore.

You will need to shift your focus entirely from trying to build a career to investing in and building assets.

Get into the capital multiplying business and fast.

The good thing about rising interest rates, is that higher cost of capital lowers speculation to non-productive investments like land, VC bubbles, altcoins etc.

Buying businesses is one of the successful strategies for growing wealth.

Don't fall into the trap of trying to build 'sexy' tech startups that burn a tonne of cash, have 100 sophisticated competitors, need VC funding causing huge dilution and have a 99% chance of failure.

Imposter syndrome is the self-doubt of intellect and skills when doing something.

It happens when you're doing new something for the first few times.

Imposter syndrome is usually a barometer for whether you're growing / pushing

Whilst gold prices are increasing, as fiat declines, the amount of gold held in ETFs, or gold miner prices aren’t increasing commensurately because the crowd that would’ve bought gold, is now more focused on bitcoin.
