A rare set of bagpipes which accompanied Australian soldiers on the Western Front during WW1 have recently been returned to Mackay after over a century overseas. The return was made possible with support from our National Cultural Heritage Account. More: tinyurl.com/296zbcs9

#OTD in 1936, the world’s last thylacine – Tasmanian tiger – passed away. This rare female thylacine pelt dates to 1923, 1 of only 45 known complete adult pelts, and is now preserved at @nmathanks to the #NationalCulturalHeritageAccount ➡️ tinyurl.com/3jdnej9f
