The dream is over in Withernsea as the team behind the plan to rebuild a pier have given up their campaign.

2 years ago they had the cash and the consent but they say East Riding Council has killed the project.

We have asked East Riding Council for their reaction to claims that they have held it up with red tape until permission elapsed. The cash now has to go back to grant funding bodies.
