Jose Salas-Gimenez was wanted for attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault stemming from a violent domestic violence incident in January 2024. Thanks to the diligent work of APD investigators and our positive working relationships with local, state and federal

Shame on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement trying to place blame for their incompetence on Aurora Police Dept for the escape of 2 civil immigration detainees at the GEO facility in Aurora. Hi Attorney General Phil Weiser… just bought a couple Broncos tickets for the upcoming season from Ticketmaster. How does Ticketmaster get away with charging over 20% of the ticket price as their “service fee?” Seems unconscionable. The service fee on a $409 ticket was $83.85.

I understand that Aurora was originally listed as a sanctuary city. The Department of Homeland Security has made an update and Aurora has been removed from the list. I appreciate the communication and help I received in making this happen. dhs.gov/sanctuary-juri…

I just love how Aurora, the 3rd largest city in Colorado and the 50th largest city in the United States, continues to be called a “town.” 🤣
