Do you know why we are called Atelerix? Our technology holds cells and tissues at hypothermic temperatures for up to two weeks, effectively placing them in a state of hibernation - just like the African pygmy hedgehog, genus Atelerix!

You will hear us talk a lot about how our hypothermic preservation technology mitigates the problems that are associated with freeze-thaw, however we didn't stop there! We have developed a portfolio of products designed for the type of biomaterial you are working with...

With the upcoming launch of our newest product CytoStor, let us remind you of the reasons why Atelerix technology should be your go to for fresh cell, tissue or virus preservation...

2. When a biopsy is taken, it needs to be frozen to very low temperatures for the transport from the clinic to the lab. Shipping biopsies at ambient temperatures would make their sharing less costly, less complicated and not limited by distance. #lifETIMETC2023

3. Alginate, a seaweed-derived bioinert hydrogel, can be used for short-term ambient storage of cells and tissues. In my PhD, I study whether it works for pancreatic cancer samples and what mechanical properties of alginate are best for this shipping.#lifetimeTC2023 Atelerix
