109 years ago; on this day, at this time, in this place, the spirit of Anzac was born.

Almost 9,000 Australians lost their lives at Gallipoli, 60,000 in the entirety of the First World War, another 150,000 were injured.

Honoured to lay a wreath at the Dawn Service at Anzac Cove Gallipoli, on behalf of Victoria.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning.

We will remember them.
