Today I had another session photographing the Sun through my solar #telescope . Really got my gear working perfectly today allowing me to bring out really small details on the #Sun .

Today's Sun

We're just a few hours away from today's #totalsolareclipse that will be visible across US. I felt that I wanted to capture the #Sun on this special day, so here's a photo of the Sun I took about an hour ago from my back yard.

Finally got the opportunity to take a longer exposure of comet #PonsBrooks and Andromeda galaxy.

Image is a composite of two photos, 20 min. exposure of comet and Andromeda and a separate foreground shot at same focal length.

Last night I did my first test with the Nikon Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S lens on the Andromeda galaxy. Really impressed how well this lens performs even in the corners.
