Congrats to our Students of the Week for Friday, Dec. 20, Juniors Phu Pham and Imanol Matos Colon! Both students were a huge help in afternoon Math tutorials. They helped tutor students on test corrections for Math but also helped students with their Physics homework as well!

Did you know there are colleges and universities all over that offer majors that lead to careers in ASL! Our ASL III students learned of many career path options their skill set would be perfect for!

Students of the Week for Feb. 28 are Seniors Monika Hernandez and August Wade! When it was below freezing temps, these two stepped up & made sure Mr. Young, our outside parking lot attendant, was taken care of! Monika brought him hot chocolate & August offered him hand warmers!

It is so exciting to see kiddos committed to connecting to a world outside of their own. Some of these students will meet their 1st Deaf person next week, and some are returning to share ASL literature for a 2nd time. I am always giddy for their experience! #IloveASL

These ASL students spent their Saturday volunteering at the Achievement Center of TX Special Arts festival. Committed to creating inclusion through hand art, singing hands, and caring about others!

Congrats to our Student of the Week for March 14, Junior Shamea Simmons! Shamea is a great supporter of her classmates. She helps her peers that are struggling with their work, and she is always willing to volunteer to work with students that need a partner. Super proud of her!

National ASL Day is a day that Sachse High School ASL students embark on a day of learning in a very special way. I am so appreciative of our deaf and hard of hearing presenters that shared their life, and to each of our senior ASL students that created an amazing Deaf simulation! 🤟🏼

Today we had our final ASL Club & Honor Society meeting. We celebrated these amazing seniors for their dedication, leadership, skills, and I will miss them greatly!
