1/36. 📜 It is the second day of the first meeting of the Board of the #LossAndDamage Fund in Abu Dhabi, UAE 🇦🇪. Here are some of our key takeaways 🤔 and some important messages 🗣️from today's discussions. 🧵
1/2. “As the Board of the #LossAndDamage Fund works on the arrangements for Active Observer participation, we expect the Fund to follow the practices of other UN Climate Change funds that allow self-selection-and -management processes of accredited observer organizations*.” Claire Miranda.

1/3.⚠️At its first meeting, the Board of the #LossAndDamage Fund is discussing setting up a committee to work on the additional rules of procedure for the Board. Some of these rules will apply to #CivilSociety , it is essential that we are able to input into committee work!
1/2. 📩In an important letter to the Board of the #LossAndDamage Fund led by APMDD, #CivilSociety organisations from across the world make it clear that their presence at #LossAndDamage Fund Board meetings is essential to ensure that policies reflect real-world needs!
