It’s been a busy week in 2nd grade!! We hosted a book fair for our reading and writing celebration and we are wrapping up the Impact T-Shirt factory Fosnot unit in math by tie-dying T-shirt’s! Teays Valley Schools

A big thanks to Ohio Lottery for all of the goodies! I’ll definitely be using the umbrella for bus duty and the gift card to add books to my classroom!

Every kid is a reader. The problem doesn’t lie with those who “don’t like” to read. The problem is in how we introduce, discuss, and “teach” reading to them, and what books we share and make available to them. The work is in figuring out how to reach each wonderfully unique kid.

This was my first class of 1st graders who are SENIORS and graduating this year. I can’t believe it has been 12 years since I’ve had this group of kiddos. I hope they each know how special they are to me. Congrats, seniors! You did it!!
