That moment when you realize that Epilepsy science & research conferences are more exciting to you than the Grey Cup, the Stanley Cup, the World Cup: you get my point 😉 Research means hope. Hope is life saving. Science validates our lived experiences. These folks are my MVPs 💜

Giant hugs to Smiley Kieley for her friendship and support, offered with so much grace & no obligation. When you’re dealing with a setback, or navigating recovery, reaching out or responding can feel overwhelming. Kieley and others have reminded me that it’s OK to take the space. ❤️

Hi again everyone! I’ve started to piece these contacts together, but to make it easier, I’d love if you would retweet this form and share w/ those who aren’t on social media. I don’t want to miss anyone and it’s so helpful to amplify small business. forms.gle/JnUw8xySrh8osD…

A reminder for folks who don’t have lived experience with Epilepsy. SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy) is the most heartbreaking and most feared outcome of uncontrolled seizures. This CDN research is an illustration of its impact 💜 Families live this every day.

Can confirm. The answer to “when will I get to sleep through the night?” Is also… seldom to never. Because teenagers are often like raccoons- and they’re getting into your house late and rummaging through your fridge. Don’t get me wrong- I love raccoons.

Currently uncovering the “24K gold” 💫lining to the Cat 4 cloudstorm that swept through our summer. The thing about big time adversity is an equal or greater opportunity for goodness- it pairs well with grief-eventually. Full honesty- this WAS colossal destruction-Onward we go ❤️

Ahhhh. This is the reason that there is a chapter in my memoir titled- “Eyebrows Aren’t Forever”. I knew this dark day would come.

I just made my 17 year old daughter sit through We Like to Party (the Vengabus) and if you recognize the song, it’s time to get your bone density and eyesight checked. Also- I hope it’s in your head now too. These moments are the most rewarding parts of parenting.

We have regional licensure in Atlantic Canada as of May 1st. We just need to fill out a form and pay a fee and we’ll be able to practice in any of the four Atlantic provinces. This needs to happen nationally. Make it easier for doctors to work interprovincially!

Pleased to see the excellent work of @jennav5 and her team leading to consistent, specific, actionable initiatives by the OCS. Sustainability, inclusion and education 💚 To all my non-profit/registered charity/researcher peeps; don’t miss the May 25 application deadline!

I have it on good authority that Health Canada and PHAC has not received very many submissions for the ongoing Cannabis Regulatory review. Regulations are easy to change. The Act is hard to change. The regulations govern industry's day to day work. Make a submission or DM me for help.
