Excited, nervous, proud - a whole mess of emotions to post this paper to BioRxiv! What a crazy time to do science, but somehow things came together. Really proud of the team on this one! So thankful for guidance by Gardel Lab and funding by HHMI disq.us/t/3v6fjn5

Ascidian embryos need cell adhesion to acquire their shape. Phallusia embryo dividing in Ca2+ free sea water stained with cell mask (showing plasma membrane et internalised vesicles). you will note that these internal particles segregate within each cell...

Phallusia magic : the pigmented cell leaving the neural epithelium to go into the brain cavity is called the otolith. the other pigmented cell (in green too) is the ocellus. My question : is the otolith undrgoing "cell slithering" ??

Very pleased to share my most recent work from the Bronner Lab now out (for early access) in Development! Our modified #CRISPR vector allows concomitant delivery of Cas9, gRNAs, and a fluorescent protein in transfected cells. dev.biologists.org/content/early/…

I love the idea of shared talks between scientists from different disciplines who work together for #interdisciplinary research. I hope it will show that I hardly know or understand any physics 😩 but that we have learned to discuss through a common language to bridge disciplines

We will talk about your tool in our lab and will probably contact you... does the oil droplet need to be fluorescent ? (no problemo)

.Abby Kindberg, @Bush_lab UC San Francisco and colleagues find that EPH/EPHRIN signaling drives cellular organization by modulating cell contact strength by regulating actomyosin contractility at heterotypic contacts. bit.ly/3ds85t3 #CellSignaling #Cytoskeleton #Development
