The Military Flight Training Conf continues, with #UKMFTS delivering a generational perspective on flying training. Ascent QFI Gary Clark, pictured with the M346 Block 20 Unit Level Training Device, will share his own relevant and F-35-informed Instructor Pilot views.

We bid farewell to two legends of the Fleet Air Arm, who joined the Royal Navy on the same day, and shared their last flight together at #RNASCuldrose, retiring after careers spanning 40 years. Best wishes to Stephen ‘Softy’ Beirne and Ian McDonald from all at Ascent.

Our colleagues Lockheed Martin have shared some exciting updates for Mission Aircrew training with Ascent and #RNASCuldrose Instructors. A recent demo provided insight into new capabilities for Ground Mission Trainers, increasing synergy between live & synthetic environments.

Today is a special day for these four trainee Royal Navy observers who have completed their basic flying training with 750 Naval Air Squadron at RNAS Culdrose. #750NAS Ascent Flight Training Their training will continue in either Merlin or Wildcat helicopters. Well done.

Supporting our local communities is important to Ascent and Ed and Fred from our IT team used a Volunteering Day to help Time Bank Plus. The Bath-based charity had issues with outdated computer equipment and we were able to source and set up some redundant desktops.

We are delighted to welcome our 100th Elementary Flying Training class at #RAFCranwell #UKMFTS. The 7 fixed wing trainees will receive 60 hours of flying training on the Prefect, both live and synthetic, before being streamed to fast jet, multi-engine or rotary. Good luck to all.
