a really simple trick to breaking up rough wood is to create splinters. Just duplicate a face, cut out the shape of a splinter and bend it from the end outwards, making it look like the wood is splintered. This can be done after texturing.

Pro-tip: Configure ZBrush's hotkeys to match similar functions in your modeling app, like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max, for a smoother & more natural experience. In Blender, I set object isolation to Alt+Q, and mapping 'Solo Mode' to Alt+Q in ZBrush feels super nice.

In ZBrush, if Radial Symmetry's center is off, even with Local Symmetry, it's due to an uncentered subtool pivot. Press 'W' to enable the Move tool and click 'Go To Unmasked Mesh Center' to realign it. Voila. Radial Symmetry now works.

Copyright exists for a reason. You're quite literally protecting your work from being copied, especially for monetary gain. Scraped artwork, without consent or deals with companies/artists are stealing.

I'm happy to present my second realtime hair tutorial! It's been a while now since my first one and I've got some new information to share that will help you elevate your realtime hair.

Found a quick way to quickly optimise a subd mesh to remove support loops by using the Decimate modifier via the planar algorithm with a small angle limit.
