Taumata Soloman and his kaitautoko (supporters); Erena Koopu and Zhev Beattie, made great progress on a large mural on Hinemoa Street at the weekend. The #AIAF2019 project is entitled Te Toki - Te Arawa Mural and celebrates the contribution to art by a Te Arawa hero.

A ceremony to officially unveil the #AIAF2019 Te Toki - Te Arawa Mural of the late Aunty Bea was held yesterday with her whānau. The mural by Taumata Soloman honours Beatrice Yates (nee Grant) who passed away last year.The mural is on Hinemoa Street, next to Ajays Emporium.
