The Fellowship of the Thing - Official Blackmoor When Ken St. Andre DM'd Tunnels & Trolls at Arnecon he said "anything you say you do that isn't followed by an immediate laugh actually happens" and sure enough he stayed true to his word, lol.

How to be a terrible D&D Youtube creator. Yup, our Youtube channel has been neglected a bit. We were busy getting Arnecon ready. I've also been writing a lot. A recording was made last week. But then we got distracted. We will never beat the Algorithm at this rate. 😁

At ArneCon I was able to play in Dave Arneson's Medieval Battle (run by his friend Bill Hoyt) and in Dave Megarry's DUNGEON! (run by Dave himself). Dave, in turn, showed me his old character sheets from the original Blackmoor RPG campaign. 1. Dave Arneson's Medieval Battle seems

At ArneCon I also met Ken St Andre, creator of Tunnels & Trolls. Ken said T&T was the first true RPG, in that it was the first to free itself from miniature wargaming. So then he asked what I did, and I explained that I had designed an RPG to re-introduce miniature wargaming...

I think RPGs should be easy and fun to play. This video shows you how to make your own city to base your campaign in. Only there is a twist - what if you think in terms of an imaginary history when making your city? Follow the link in the next post to find out how it's done.

I met Alexander Macris at ArneCon and I can’t think of a more sincere, interesting and game-educated person then him. Super kind and super approachable. Give him a follow.

If you live in the North-East I would be book-marking this convention. It's the little gatherings that have huge souls. They are small enough so you can get some quality time with a favorite publisher, but big enough to have a huge selection of awesome games to play. I like to

Alexander Macris I wish I could hang out with you some more. Had a blast at Arnecon. Was also fun watching you and Willie play with Bill Hoyt. (I get brain damage over names and faces, but that is him with the pen, correct?) Gentle reminder of what gaming is about.

Dungeons & Dragons was a different creature when it was first published in 1974. Character attributes didn't result in huge die roll bonuses. Most improvements for your character came through Experience Points. It made the game fast playing and very much focused on the role
