Our new Current Directions paper is online, highlighting that ethnic diversity is not good or bad in itself, though it does trigger anti-immigration and anti-establishment sentiments in authoritarians, which pushes them towards populist political parties: journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf/10.117….

New paper (OA) with Social Psychology - Ghent University Title pretty much sums it up: n minimal group allocations, people are reluctant to make 'utilitarian' decisions when equality is also an option. And if they do, it is limited to minimizing harm, and partial to the ingroup. rdcu.be/b58iF

Out in JESP: are moral judgments independent or do we consider our prior moral judgments relevant to new moral problems that we face? We explore this issue in the context of sacrificial harm, i.e. with trolley dilemmas. 1/18

Our new paper on sequential and iterative moral dilemmas in JESP. It was definitely most enthralling and fun research to work on. Obviously a big shout-out to Dries Bostyn as the PI and the one who devised the whole paradigm!

Heart-wrenchingly beautiful. Full theatre @FilmfestGent , but you could hear a pin drop all throughout the end credits (I guess that was the minimum duration for everyone to pull themselves together)

Ever wonder why repetition makes things seem true? Jonas De keersmaecker, Christian Unkelbach, and Arne Roets discovered this "truth-by-repetition" effect works even in non-native languages! #JARMAC APA Journals buff.ly/4by8nLX

Psychologists love asking people how they think about trolley dilemmas to study moral decision-making: "Should you kill a person to save five?". But thinking about a dilemma is not the same thing as actually confronting one in real life. We developed a lab-based real-life
