Well done to the 1st Battalion, The Mercian Regiment #Football team who won the Army 6-a-side competition at Grantham today. Drawing in the winners of all league and corps competitions, the standard at the competition was high, so an excellent result for the team.

1st Battalion, The Mercian Regiment A ‘Grenadier’ Company deployed to Leek Training Area to conduct Platoon and Company training serials including advance to contact, deliberate attacks and recce patrols at night. The training culminated in a deliberate raid at dawn.
