Today would have been Judith Resnik’s 75th birthday. Born #OnThisDay in 1949 in Akron, OH, Resnik broke barriers in 1984 aboard STS-41-D as America’s second female and first Jewish-American in space.

Though she left us too soon, her legacy as an astronaut and engineer lives on.
