Last week I have assumed my new role as First Secretary Development Cooperation at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Juba, South Sudan.

We thank all participants for a very successful 2024 Water Platform meeting at our Embassy! We will continue to work with the government of South Sudan and partners to ensure follow-up on the discussions on a One-WASH national program in South Sudan.

Yesterday, we brought the private sector and our young Orange Corners South Sudan entrepreneurs together for the first OC-networking event in Juba. Our ambassador underlined the crucial role the private sector plays in driving South Sudan's development. Thanks BizEx Biz Brokers for organizing!

On Monday our First Secretary Arend van Vuren had the honor of opening the milk handling facility that was constructed by Fondazione AVSI. This facility was requested by the women of Rumbek and Cueibet so that they have a dedicated spot for selling their milk.

Congratulations to the 206 graduates of the MTC in #Rumbek. The Embassy of the Netherlands in South Sudan embassy via UNDP South Sudan and LCAD supports skills development in different trades through vocational training. It was great to attend your graduation and I wish all the graduates the best of luck!
