Success for our colleague Mgr Dominik Chlachula! A study published in Antiquity brings the first evidence of Middle Palaeolithic settlement in the Huqf region (Oman). The research uncovered artefacts dating from 130,000-80,000 years ago at sites WB3 and WB4. 👏 #archaeology

Beautiful stuff! More than 500 figures of camels, hunters, horses, turtles, cuttlefish, medusas, ostriches and lions, and 200 inscriptions in South Arabian script. Quite unique variety for the whole of Arabia. Hopefully this open-air gallery will be published in full.
