At that time, it was the Holy Grail 😉😂

Just imagine if the engines held together in those Fords. Dale might have even won a Championship in '82 or '83.

And he did it in a Ford!! The engine valves must have been working pretty well that day because he didn't blow up the motor!

Oddly enough, the T-bird actually looks good in these pictures. Normally (imo) this car is pretty ugly.

This is from a 1972 issue of Southern MotoRacing and is one of the earliest documented print media racing reports about Dale Earnhardt.

Dale won the Charger feature at Metrolina, but they spelt his name wrong.

1991. Dale in a Bob Harris IMCA Modified at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Dale won. Kelly Shyrok shook the car down for Dale and actually turned faster laps than the Intimidator.
