Continued celebration of Maverick Baseball winning the District Championship in walk-off fashion last night. The Mavericks were led by Andrew Ildefonso (‘23) who pitched 7 shutout innings and Stefano Molaro (‘21) who went 2 for 4 with a double to walk it off in the 7th.

Archbishop McCarthy, delivered an inspired performance at the plate, putting up five runs in the first inning, and then cruising to the regional title 9-2. Adrian Vega went 5 inning allowed 2 runs. Celebration ensued whan Jake Alfaro Kd 3 in the last inning.

The 2021 Silver Slugger award goes to Jake Alfaro. Jake led the team and District in runs batted in (Rbis) and was a key component in the State Championship Run !

Archbishop Mccarthy had their awards and Antonio Jimenez won the 2021 Gold Glove award. Jimenez is commited to the University of Miami and provided elite defense for the Mavericks in 2021.

The Mavericks had their award ceremony and Andrew Ildefonso came away with the Pitcher of the Year award ! Ildefonso led the team and district in wins !
