Wheat- first cultivated in the middle east ~11,000 yrs ago Tomato- originated in South America, first introduced to Europe ~1500s Mozzarella- Italian! Around 2000 yrs ago Pineapple- same as tomatoes, both due to colonialism It takes a lot of cultures to make a national dish!
