Back to back champions! Our U19s retained their regional title with a 52-40 win against OLSPCK at Newforge this evening. Great all round team performance. We now progress to the All Ireland play offs on Wednesday 14th January.

It wasn't to be for the U16s today in the North regional final against St Ronan's Lurgan. A disappointing 42-38 defeat leaves us still in the All Ireland play offs on 8th January but with a tougher draw. Well done to St Ronan's.

A good spread of scorers in yesterday's U19 final in Newforge. Daire (15), Zach (13), John M. (10), Alex (8) and Frank (6). Thanks also to the referees and table officials for a great job in both finals.

Confirmation that the U16B All Ireland play offs will take place on 8th January with Aquinas and St Ronan's College Lurgan representing the region while the U19B play offs take place on 14th January with Aquinas being joined by OLSPCK. Venues and times TBC on 12th December.

Aquinas will host the U16B basketball play offs on 8th January with games against O'Carolan College and Portmarnock Community School. The U19s will travel on 14th January to St Michael's College Dublin to face the hosts plus mount Temple CS and the Salesian College, Cellbridge.

There was a changing of the guard last week when, after a 7 year run, the class of 2010 lost their first Aquinas past pupils tournament. Well done to the new kids on the block (as well as Mark Galway) on getting the crown with a huge three pointer by George Horner to get the W.

A fantastic this morning 42-35 win for Aquinas against O'Carolan College, Co Meath in the first game of the U16B All Ireland play offs. Next game at 2pm v Portmarnock Community School.

It wasn't to be for our U16s today as we lost 38-33 to Portmarnock CS in the All Ireland quarter final. All tied going into the last quarter, Portmarnock had the extra gear to clinch the win . Fantastic season for Aquinas and good luck to Portmarnock in the semi final.

An early start for our six junior swimmers for the Swim Ulster senior schools cup championships in Bangor today. Mikey,Finn, Ronan, Gerard, Sophie & Sarah will compete in two events each as well as the boys taking part in the 4x200 freestyle relay. Swim fast and have fun!
