in 1865, Gen. Joseph E Johnston surrenders all Confederate forces in NC, SC, GA and FL to Gen. William T Sherman at the Bennett Place. The terms are similar to Appomattox, with the exception of a surrender ceremony. Johnston's troops will be paroled and sent home.
