As well as boxes for men and women in hostels and refuges, we also need boxes for elderly people who live on their own and wont get a Christmas present. Here's an idea of the sorts of things you can put in them. If you think of anything we've missed out just let us know!

This is what we do with all of the loose sweets, coins and candy cans we collect. Put them into little cellophane bags to make a Christmas treat!

Day one of our Appeal. We got the keys to our space yesterday, and this is 6 carloads in our sorting room, with more to go! It looks a lot but we know from experience it will soon go! Things we are short of at the moment are chocolate and sweets, mens toiletries, socks and hats

How much do chocolate coins cost? Well it depends on where you get them from! We use loads - in all of our treat bags. These are the cheapest we've found - Sainsburys, 15 for £1.25 or 8p each. If you find any cheaper tell us. And we'd love you to donate us some.

Calling all teachers, leaders of brownies or similar, workplaces. Would you like to collect for us? We can provide flyers, posters and a few empty shoeboxes to start you off. If you collect too many to drop off with us we can even arrange a collection. Just drop us a message.

We have some lovely wrapped ones shoeboxes waiting to be filled. We know that these help with donations. particularly from schools, workplaces and organisations. If you would like any, just drop us a DM. we can arrange for you to collect or if you need a lot we can drop them off

We’re opening the central store from 1230-1430 this Saturday 25 October for people to pick up empty wrapped boxes, or drop stuff off. Put WILKINSON LANE, S10 2AN into your Satnav then go right to the end, and it is the last house on the left before the Ring Road.

Thanks to everyone who've dropped boxes off already - it really helps us to get them in as early as possible as we have a much smaller space this year, and won't be able to cope wth everything arriving at the last minute. And there are only 32 days to go!
