Excellent lecture by Dr. Henri R. Ford, MD, MHA, FACS, FRCS(Eng), FAAP at ACS Florida in Tampa. Nuggets of advice for early surgeons: 1. There is no substitute for excellence. 2. Take whatever they give you and turn it into gold. 3. Absolute integrity in everything and a focus on giving back.

Dr. Cady’s words echoed again. “Biology is King; case selection is Queen, and the technical details of surgical procedures are princes/princesses who try to overthrow the the King and Queen, usually to no long-term avail, although with some temporary apparent victories.”

Moffitt Cancer Center CGSO takes #FI25. Enjoyed learning from experts in the field on managing complex cases, early career guidance and reconnecting with friends (and soon to be colleagues!). Appreciative of Dr. Dineen and Society of Surgical Oncology for organizing a great event.
