On Saturday, our Fellows Emmanuel Kimuli & Allan Otodi Opeto handed over a library to the school community. The pair mobilized resources & renovated one of the dilapidated buildings within the school to make it the school's first-ever library to ease access to reading materials.

On this Int'l Literacy Day, we highlight #OERs from across the globe that focus on building this very important foundational skill. This collection of literacy materials can be imported into the Kolibri Learning Platform via Kolibri Studio with the token “ranin-tizop”.

“The children who joined P1 in 2016 were 1.88m. Only 832,000 registered in 2022 for PLE, 23,000 of them did not even sit. Out of the 811,000 who sat, 97,000 didn't qualify under divisions 1 to 4. So how are we going to live with more than 1m children who didn't complete p7?”

The Teach For All Global Conference is happening and it’s great to see partners and stakeholders gathered to learn from Africa and deliberate on developing students as leaders. Glad that I took part in this #GC23Kenya
