Today in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of #Kyrgyzstan, we have started our two-day regional conference on Pre-COP29 Azerbaijan to discuss #Adaptation planning and #ClimateFinance with representatives of 🇰🇿 🇹🇯 🇹🇲 🇺🇿 .

Resident Coordinator of UN in Kyrgyzstan 🇺🇳🇰🇬 Antje Grawe said that the conference is an important preparatory step, and I encourage participants to develop practical actions to help Central Asian countries mitigate climate change impacts and enhance their adaptive capacities.

Dinara Ashimova, Member of the Parliament Жогорку Кеңеш said Central Asia is one of the most climate-vulnerable regions in the world. “We must ensure that vulnerable communities, particularly in rural and mountainous areas, receive the support they need to adapt and thrive.”
