The 40% number for cops who commit domestic violence is from cops who anonymously self-reported using physical violence in their relationships in 2 studies.
The real number (especially if you factor in things like emotional, financial, etc abuse) is probably an even 100%.

There should be a study done on if domestic violence committed by police has gone up, stayed at 40%, or gone down since the protests started.

My City pays the largest part of its discretionary budget to an armed gang; 40% of whom, statistically, are DV abusers. Recently, they've been escalating by abusing strangers in the street. Who should I call?
