The SWAIS2C team successfully drilled through 580m of ice, obtained the longest sediment core retrieved from the Siple Coast, & gathered crucial information in their mission to understand the West Antarctic Ice Sheet’s past response to climate warming 🙌 ow.ly/KWee50Qw7p8

Three days ago, the overland traverse team returned from Kamb Ice Stream, travelling a total of 2,650km!

The convoy successfully supported the the SWAIS2C project at KIS3 which is investigating the potential collapse of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet.
