The best job application goes to.. We reckon this student's sense of humour would fit in well at Scott Base, but they might need to stick it out in maths class a little longer and finish school first!

Introduced species may not be allowed in Antarctica, but the Easter bunny got a special exemption over the weekend πŸ‡πŸ«
The winter team had some down time to relax together and even had an Easter egg hunt in the Hillary Field Centre, which was taken out by Ruth and Catherine!

Sound on πŸ”Š This is the pressure ridge at the front of Scott Base, where pressure from the McMurdo Ice Shelf pushes the sea ice against the shore. Listen to it pop and groan with a life of its own.

The sun has set on a successful two month Ross Sea Voyage, with the Laura Bassi returning to Lyttelton. This Italian-New Zealand collaboration sailed into the heart of Antarctica's largest sea ice factory, a critical area to study given the retreat of sea ice.

Imagine this team's luck when they had to be dropped off to the Laura Bassi research vessel via helicopter because the winds were too high for the barge!

What better way to see the sights of Terra Nova Bay 🚁
