Not sure what the thinking was to ever have Walker start the seventh inning, never mind get to the point where he can give up that home run. Pull him after six, it was an encouraging start. Let that happen, and the questions only intensify.

Not surprisingly, the Phillies have announced that they have DFA’s Ricardo Pinto to make room for Taijuan Walker on the active roster.

Is there another pitcher in baseball this month who is more pleasurable to watch than Ranger Suarez? I can’t name one at the moment.

Prior to tonight’s game against the Cincinnati Reds, the Phillies placed first baseman Bryce Harper on the paternity list. To fill his spot on the 26-man roster, the club recalled infielder Kody Clemens from triple-A Lehigh Valley.

The fact that the tying run is coming to the plate is ridiculous. Can’t imagine Pinto remains on the big club much longer.
