Some neglected casualites of recent winter storms 🌧️ in California are seabirds.

On 1 mile of beach in Monterey, I counted >120 dead birds, mostly (80) common murres but also western grebes, cormorants, gulls, common loons and a rhino auklet.

Is this happening elsewhere?
