My daughter's daycare was broken into and robbed on Sunday night. Yet Bright Horizons did not notify the police for more than 24 hours. The teachers were asked to perform a security sweep themselves. Is this how Bright Horizons treats the safety of the children in its care?

In a famiy meeting, while discussing the end of life, ask what the patient used to be able to enjoy, or what makes him/her happy.

That helps us know the patient.

That helps the family realize how bad the situation is now and what is really important to their loved one.

A4. Leadership acknowledging work-life integration helps. I was recently annoyed about a late zoom meeting, until the person leading the meeting said that she fully expects that some of us are at home prepping dinner (or whatever). It made a huge difference to hear that

A4. I don't like the term work-life balance. To me, they're buckets that I fill - family, friends, work. I need all of them to have something inside, but at various times some are more empty than others. has made me realize that's ok

Please, no more wellness interventions. What we need is more time and support of our work/research, and off loading of non-essential duties so we can focus on our patients and our research.

American Thoracic Society (ATS) A2 Leaders (across NIH, department chiefs, & w/i ATS) should adopt measures to mitigate the scarring effects of the pandemic on women, acknowledging that has widened the gender disparities. Tenure/K clock extensions, special funding opportunities, etc.

A3. Some companies and workplaces have allowed for my flexible schedules and work from home arrangements. Eliminating the commute on some days has allowed my husband to be more present at home and take on more of the childcare responsibilities.
