Today marks the 11th anniversary of the unjust detention of Uyghur professor Ilham Tohti, who has been serving a life sentence for peacefully advocating for Uyghur human rights. His daughter, Jewher.Ilham, has courageously carried on her father's legacy.

My extended family was interrogated by the national security police this morning in Hong Kong, but I am and will not compromise. A few hours of processing and here I am, continuing my work against transnational repression and for democracy.

Maddening development: Hong Kong’s national security agents interrogated Carmen Lau 劉珈汶’s third family member in a week. The regime habitually harasses families to intimidate. This came after her recent campaigning against the Chinese “mega embassy” with other advocates in UK.
